Ceci typed up an excellent article on the politics of health care reform that appears in today's WaPo. How excellent is her scribing, you ask? So excellent it doesn't make any damn sense!!

Here's my bit:

One Democratic strategist who is working full-time half-time [they're not paying me enough to work full-time] on health reform was apoplectic over what he called wasted time, energy and resources by the organizations.

The strategist, who asked for anonymity because he was criticizing colleagues hoping I would pick the tab, said: "These are friends of ours. I would much rather see a quiet call placed by [Obama chief of staff] Rahm Emanuel saying this isn't helpful. Instead, we try to decimate them?"

As an unnamed source I've found it best to let the reporter write the quotes to better let her fit them into the story. Ceci will usually pick up lunch under this arrangement as long as I promise to vouch(!) for whatever she writes. All in a days work for your truly.

Especially like the bit about Rahm getting recalitrant "moderate" Democrats to line up for reform with one "quiet call". Ceci, that is priceless! These guys are feasting at the health insurers' campaign contribution trough and I'm saying one call from the Whitehouse is going to get them all biting the hand that feeds!! I'm sure. What a riot!
